FEEL ÁSTER
TIME HAS GIVEN US THE KEYS…
…showing our trust in the late 80s in an emerging and privileged winemaking area, studying its soil and choosing the best spot to make great wines. Buying up old vineyards like El Otero, in 1993 and establishing new plantations. Presenting the first Áster wines in 2000 after years of experimentation in the vineyard and in the winery. Gaining deeper knowledge of the vineyard and perfecting the recognised personality of our brands. Today, as a result of our toil and constant search for excellence, we continue to update with classic and modern wines that convey the feeling of 21st century Ribera del Duero.
KEY YEARS IN OUR HISTORY
1988
We carry out an in-depth study of soils in different parts of the D.O. We are committed to an emerging and privileged wine-growing area by studying its soils and selecting the best location.
1993
We started acquiring both old vineyards (El Otero) and cereal farms that we planted after countless trials over the years.
2OOO
After years of experimentation and selling the first five vintages because they did not meet our standards of quality and style, we managed to produce our first vintage.
2OO6
Áster Crianza is born and, a year later, the first edition of the Club de Cosecheros or Harvesters Club.
2OO8
We present the first vintage of Finca El Otero, our most iconic brand.
2O16
Finca El Otero is named the ‘World’s Best Wine’ by The Wine Merchant (UK).
2O22
For the first time, our winery is listed in the Ribera del Duero ‘First Growth’ category by Tim Atkin MW as one of the 15 top wineries in the D.O. region.
2O23
We modernised our portfolio with an innovative approach, highlighting the exceptional vintage of Finca El Otero and launching a new wine that marks a milestone in the history of our winery: El Espino.
2O24
We have renovated our facilities for wine tourism, providing us with new and unique spaces that guarantee a premium experience for those who visit us.
