FEEL THE TERROIR
The soil, the weather, the elevation, the lie of the land… Everything is special and determinant at Áster. Without these features, our grapes would lack their characteristic expression. Vineyards planted on clay and silt shaped by rolling hills that translate into unequal exposures to the sun. A remarkable height of 800m and an extreme continental climate push us almost to the limit of our vine production, key to achieving a structure and natural acidity which, as always in the best years, guarantee elegant and structured wines, with excellent aging potential.

Our three wines express the two winemaking styles that characterise today’s Ribera del Duero. Finca El Otero and Áster follow the more traditional line of wines with extreme intensity, corpulence and depth. Rich in tannins, powerful, with a deep layer of colour and structure. The new El Espino aligns with the contemporary style: fresh and aromatic wines, with lively colours, expressive, medium-bodied and a lasting aftertaste.
